SILVERBIRCH HOTELS & RESORTS CHARLOTTETOWN ANNOUNCES FACELIFT OF BEST WESTERN CHARLOTTETOWN
VANCOUVER, BC (September 28, 2010) – Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island To celebrate nearly two years of renovations, the Best Western Charlottetown is opening its doors to the public, complete with a sneak peek tour of the $4.2 million makeover of the guest rooms and public areas plus a BBQ and fun activities for the whole family on Oct. 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
While half of the hotel was renovated last year, the recent upgrades to all guestrooms and most of the public spaces mark the completion of a major undertaking in the renovation process of the hotel. It includes all new mattresses and box springs, bedding, carpets, draperies, 37 flat screen TVs with eight free HD channels and bathrooms with granite countertops, all done in contemporary décor reflecting a sophisticated palette of red, green and sand to reflect the colours of the Island.
“We are very pleased with our renovations and we think that our guests will find our new look fresh and inviting” says the hotel general manager Walter VanBeek. “The addition of flat screen TVs with HD technology is a first in the Charlottetown market and, in itself, the technology sets us apart from all competition in the area”.
Group and tour clients will also benefit from upgrades to all North Court rooms with queen beds replacing double beds, renovated public washrooms and a new entrance for added curb appeal. “Group travellers such as sports teams are thrilled with our move to queen beds” says the hotel general manager, Walter VanBeek. “Our larger rooms allow for the added comfort queen beds provide and complimentary continental breakfast is a big hit with groups and families in particular.”
Best Western Charlottetown is pleased to share their new look with the public at an Open House on Saturday Oct. 2 from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The event will feature a tour of the public spaces and guest rooms and a BBQ to benefit the Children’s Wish Foundation. The event is a great outing for families with entertainment including a Charlottetown Fire Department fire truck on site as well as face painters, cake and other family fun!
